What is YWAM?

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.

I will personally be spending time in YWAM Honolulu. YWAM Honolulu was originally founded in 1980 as "Pioneer Ministries". Over the last 34 years YWAM Honolulu has done what it sent out to do, playing a key role in establishing many works throughout Asia and the South Pacific, including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, China, Fiji and Tahiti, to name a few. Now, 34 years later the vision remains the same. YWAM Honolulu exists to train and equip young people to carry the good news of Christ to every corner of the globe. We accomplish this through our training schools, our international outreaches and local community outreach. (Taken from www.ywamhonolulu.com)

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7 (NIV)
